REQUEST FOR EXPRESSION OF INTEREST FOR CONSULTING SERVICES

The Government of Nepal has received financing from the World Bank/IDA towards the cost of the Urban Governance and Development Program (UGDP)-Emerging Towns Project (ETP) and intends to apply part of the proceeds for consulting services.
The present consulting service aims to carry out Social Impact Assessment (SIA) study of Upgrading Road from Talchowk to Begnas Tal sub projects.
The objective of the Urban Governance and Development Program: Emerging Towns Project is to improve delivery and sustainable provision of basic services and priority infrastructure in the Municipality and the emerging towns of Nepal under which Lekhnath Municipality has also been identified in its first phase of implementation. The Lekhnath Municipality now invites eligible consultants to express their interest in providing the services. Interested consultants must provide information indicating that they are qualified to perform the services (experience in similar assignments, current updated bio data.) Submission must contain copies of currently valid PAN/VAT registration certificates and current updated bio data with educational certificates, experience certificate, citizenship certificate and a pass port size photo. The EOIs received will be evaluated on the basis of the following:
· Qualification of the consultant
· General experience of the consultants
· Sector specific experience of the consultant
The consultant will be selected in accordance with the procedures set out in the World Bank’s Guidelines: Selection and Employment of Consultants by World Bank Borrowers (current edition) based on Individual Consultants’ Selection method (IND). Only the selected consultant will be requested to submit the detailed Financial Proposal in accordance with the Bank’s Guidelines. The Authority reserves the right to accept or reject any or all EOIs received without assigning any reason thereof. Interested consultants may obtain further information at the address below during office hours. Expressions of interest must be delivered to the address below by 15th day of the first day of publication of this notice. In case deadline for submission of EOIs falls on a Government holiday, the deadline shall be extended automatically to the next working day. The EOIs shall clearly mark “Expression of Interest for SIA study of Upgrading road from Talchowk to Begnas Tal”.
