Tiger counting begins at Bardiya National Park

Counting of tiger at Bardiya National Park has begun from Monday through camera trapping technology.
The programme has been launched to count the number of tigers and condition of Tiger feed species at Bardiya National Park, Buffer zone, Khata Protected Area under the District Forest Office, Bardiya and Chhatiban Forest Area of the District Forest Office, Kailali.
Deputy Director at the Forest and Soil Conservation, Department of National Parks and Wildlife Conservation, Dr Maheshwor Dhakal and Mid-Western Regional Forest Director, Ganesh Raya, jointly inaugurated the programme.
Cameras have been installed at different places for the same. The Bardiya National Park has been taking the census of tigers through camera trapping technology since the past year. RSS
