Suspnded APF Chief Onta released on bail

21 Dec, Kathmandu: Suspended Inspector General of Armed Police Force, Koshraj Onta, has been released on bail Monday.

He was arrested by the Commission for the Investigation of Abuse of Authority (CIAA) on the charge of financial embezzlement while procuring logistics for the armed police institute. He posted bank shares and securities equivalent to Rs 100 million to be freed from the CIAA confinement. He has been accused of embezzling around Rs 70 million, the CIAA said in a press statement.

Further investigation into the case is underway. RSS
