WRC Students designs a machine that clears the water hycianth in water. Nearly 50 projects were presented at the 3rd Engineering Expo held on Jan 6-7.
The expo was organised with the aim of modernizing and the scientific development of industry, tourism and business sector with the medium of development in information and technology.
The major attraction of the expo became the machine which clears the water hyacinths, growing major problem for Fewa Lake.
According to the team manager Ashok Lamsal, the machine’s presentation was successfully demonstrated after clearing the water hycianth in the water in its conveyor with the use of mobile. The “SAFA LAKE” project is composed of the team members Surya Timilsina, Kiran Tiwari, Prakhyat Dhakal. Shankar Pandey, Ashok Paudel, Bishal Bhattarai, Krishna KC and Dilip Dhakal. The team member Surya Timilsina says that they can make a large machine for the purpose to clear the water hycianth in Fewa Lake if they get the financial support from any sectors. The estimated cost for the preparation of the machine is about Rs 5,000,000.
