Pokhara: Two young men have died in a motorcycle accident in Kaski. The District Police Office in Kaski has reported that the accident took place on Saturday in Nigaljhampa, Ward No. 6 of Rupa Rural Municipality, Prithvi Municipality-32, Province No. 3-02-009, Prithvi Municipality-32, towards Rupa Tal.

In the sequence of events leading to Rupa Lake, a motorcycle accident occurred, resulting in the death of two young men from Lamjung.

The accident occurred approximately 90 meters below the road, where motorcycle rider Krishn Gurung, 29, from Lamjung Dudhpokhari-6, and his pillion passenger Ashok Gurung, 24, lost their lives. The accident happened at around 4 PM on Saturday afternoon.

The police team from the local police office rescued the injured and took them to the Western Regional Hospital under the Pokhara Institute of Health Sciences for treatment. Doctors declared both individuals dead after the examination. The police have reported that the motorcycle lost control on a bend in the road, causing the accident. An investigation is underway to determine the cause of the accident.

Ashok was also the president of the local Laligurans Youth Club.
