The NPC has asked the government to bring the new budget of not more than Rs 596 billion. The Finance Minister was of the view that salary hike of the government employees, lawmakers’ demand for Rs 50 million for constituency development fund and other titles could slightly increase size of the budget. The government is likely to unveil the budget for the next fiscal year on July 13, while the economic survey is being unveiled today.
