Journalist Magar felicitated by Sahara Sports Award

Sahara Sports Journalism Prize has been awarded to journalist MB Astha Magar today in Pokhara during the 18th anniversary of the club.
Magar received the award of Rs 15,555, appreciation letter and dosalla from Nepal Olympic Committee (NOC) President Jivan Ram Shrestha and Sahara Club Pokhara President Bir Bhadra Acharya. Magar working in journalism sector for more than 15 yearswas recommended for felicitation by a committee led by senior journalist Narayan Karki.
Sahara Club Pokhara has been providing the award to sports journalist during its anniversary since the last 10 years. The Pokhara based sports journalist who has been working for five year is eligible for the prize. All total 10 journalists had received that prize previously.
Similarly, Sahara Club Pokhara felicitated club member Sunita Gurung and the six children of Sahara Academy run by Sahara Club. Addressing a program, NOC President Shrestha said, “Nepal’s sports sector is suffering from the low investment from the state.” He emphasized long-run vision to develop the Nepali sports sector.
