Girl injured in cooking gas cylinder explosion

A girl was injured when a cooking gas cylinder exploded at the house of one Surya Narayan Sahu at Lahan Municipality-8 in Siraha on Tuesday.

Over 2.4 million worth of property was destroyed in the fire caused by the explosion, police said.

The cooking gas cylinder went off in noon in course of preparing snacks, but the cause of the explosion is yet to be known.

The property worth around 2 million belonging to tenants Tej Narayan Chaudhary, Suresh Yadav and Bhikhan Sah and Rs 500,000 in cash of Sahu was also destroyed , police said.

Meanwhile, injured Anjali Kumari, 12-year-old daughter of Narendra Bahadur Saha, neighbour of the Sahu family is receiving treatment at a local health facility. The fire was doused with the help of police, Armed Police Force and locals. RSS
