Former finance secretaries suggest government to focus on economy

12 August, Kathmandu:

A delegation of former secretaries called on the government to work for nation building by rising above the political interests.

Furnishing suggestion to Deputy Prime Minister and Finance Minister Krishna Bahadur Mahara, former finance secretary Himalaya Shumser JB Rana said it was high time the government made economy dynamic by augmenting the private and public sectors.

Similarly, Dr Bheikh Bahadur Thapa suggested the government to bring administrative reform, while Bhanu Prasad Acharya expressed that government focused on increasing capital expenditure.

Bhojraj Ghimire and Yuvraj Bhusal pointed out the need of ending political instability to ensure economic development in the country.

On the occasion, Finance Minister Mahara said he would try to address the issues raised by them. RSS
