Earthquake jolts Bajhang for two times this morning

Fresh earthquake has jolted Bajhang district for two times this morning.

According to Technical Assistant at the Regional Seismological Centre, Surkhet, Kapil Maharjan, the earthquake measuring 4.4 on the Richter Scale jolted the district at 6:08 am while another earthquake measuring 3.2 on the Richter scale at 6:32 am.

The epicenter of both earthquakes was Mayan, 11 kilometers north east from Chainpur, the district headquarter of Bajhang, added Maharjan.

Before this, quake was realised for 21st times on July 29 and 30 with its epicenter at the same place.
Locals have gathered at open place after the earthquake. Deputy Superintendent of Police at the District Police Office, Bajhang, Narendra Chand, said that preparation was underway to collect the detail of the losses caused by the earthquake. RSS
