CoAS Trophy Competition concludes

The Chief of Army Staff (CoAS) Trophy Sports Competition-2073 organised by the Nepali Army concluded here on Wednesday.
Chief of Army Staff, Rajendra Chhetri, handed over prize to winners, former athletes and coaches amidst a function organised at Nepali Army Physical Fitness and Training Centre (NA Sports Complex).
Directorate of the Aviation Safety won the title of CoAS Division Running Shield Football Competition. Similarly, Mid-Western Division and Mid-Division Headquarters became first runner-up and second runner-up respectively.
Similarly, Lance Corporal of the Far-Western Aviation Security Battery, Saraswoti Bhattarai, who participated in the Rio Olympic-2016, and swimmer Shirish Gurung of Tribhuvan Army Club, were honoured.
Likewise, Judo coach Indra Dangol was honoured with a letter of felicitation for his contribution for glorying NA’s pride in national and international sports through the medium of sports while six ex- athletes were honoured with Life Time Achievement Award. They were Dhruba Bahadur Gurung and Shankar Tamang of Taekwondo, Babukaji Dhaubanjar of football, Purna Bahadur Gurung of boxing, Gyan Bahadur Shrestha of weight lifting and swimmer Sitaram Shahi. RSS
