Villagers construct road to local tourist hotspot

The locals of the Dikuwa village located at the western section of the district have raised funds to construct a road leading up to the tourist destination of Bhumjudanda.
The 18 households in the village collected funds ranging from Rs 1000 to Rs 5000 to construct a three km road to attract and facilitate tourists.
The Village Development Committee (VDC) contributed Rs 300,000 for the road construction being undertaken at a total investment of Rs 1.4 million, Construction Consumers Committee Coordinator, Bagdal Khatri said.
The Bhumjudanda is located at the Dikuwa VDC along the Jayaram – Halesi road stretch under the mid hill highway. A road leading from Diktel to Bhumjudanda via the Chyamsitaar – Dikuwa route has been opened, Committee said.
Domestic tourists from Udayapur, Okhaldhunga, Ramechap, Sindhuli, Siraha, Saptari, Sunsari and Morang among other places come to visit Bhumjudanda. RSS
