Two go missing as boat capsizes in Phewa Lake

Pokhara, August 9
Two persons have gone missing and six others sustained injuries when a boat they were on capsised in the Phewatal lake at Baidam here this afternoon.
Those missing in the accident are 19-year-old Prateek Shrestha of Chakrapath, Kathmandu and 23-year-old Alin KC of Basundhara, Kathmandu, the District Police Office, Kaski said.
Nineteen-year-old Saugat Shrestha, Samrat Gautam, 20 and Deepak Neupane, 31, of Chakrapath Kathmandu; Roshan Neupane, 19, of Basundhara, Kathmandu; 36-year-old Bidur Dhital of Hetaunda-6 and the boatman Ganga Basnet, 30, of Sindhuli and currently residing at Pokhara Lakeside were hurt in the accident, according to police.
A rescue team from the Ward Police Office, Baidam and the Armed Police Force rescued them soon after getting information of the boat accident. The injured are receiving medical attention at the Gandaki Medical College. It is stated that all those involved in the accident were from Kathmandu and on Pokhara visit. RSS
