Preparation for 7th National Games in full swing

Preparation is in full swing for the seventh National Games-2073 BS to be held in the eastern region of the country.

At a press conference organized at Biratnagar on Saturday, Member-Secretary of National Sports Council (NSC) Keshab Kumar Bista said an estimated Rs 376.8 million would be spent in the national sports event taking place from coming November 23-30.

The government has already released Rs 230 million for the preparatory works including physical infrastructure and rest of the estimated budget has been requested.

Altogether 6,286 individuals including 4,200 athletes along with coaches, managers and referees are taking part in the event where 32 different sports events will be held, he said.

The inaugural function of the national event will be held in Biratnagar while its closing function is set to take place at Dharan.

Preparation for the physical infrastructure in several parts is in the full swing and all needful preparations will be completed before the event, Bista shared. RSS
