ACC U-19 Premier: Nepal defeat UAE by 94 runs

KATHMANDU, NOV 15 – Nepal defeated UAE by 94 runs in their last match of the ACC U-19 Premier League played at the Tack-Tec Ground, Kuwait City on Saturday. With the win in their last game, Nepal have finished second in the points table, behind Afghanistan, and still remain in the hunt for the ICC U-19 Cricket World Cup to be held in 2016.

Nepali U-19 side batted first and scored 250 runs in their allotted 50 overs. Aarif Sheikh top scored for the Nepali side with 60 runs while S Rana and P Tamang contributed with 48 and 46 runs respectively.

Chasing a decent total of 251, the UAE side were bundled out for 156 runs in the 45th over. Two of their batsmen scored half centuries but none of the other made any significant contribution. DS Airee was the pick of the Nepali bowlers with three wickets while Irshad Ahmed chipped in with two wickets.
