“Parties could emulate late KP Bhattarai in delivering timely statute”

Senior Nepali Congress (NC) leader Sher Bahadur Deuba has said the political parties should learn from the late leader Krishna Prasad Bhattarai to deliver constitution to the people within a year.

Addressing a gathering organised on the third death anniversary memorial of leader Bhattarai here in Lalitpur on Tuesday, leader Deuba reminded that the government led by leader Bhattarai in 2047 B.S. had brought the constitution within a year. Present government can also learn lesson from him, he reiterated.

Similarly, Vice-President of the Nepali Congress , Ram Chandra Poudel, said the late leader Bhattarai was an ideal leader who did not compromise on democratic values and principles.

Deputy Prime Minister Prakash Man Singh said leader Bhattarai had made a significant contribution to the democratic values in the country.

Moreover, CPN-UML leader Bharat Mohan Adhikari said late leader Bhattarai was able to deliver constitution within a year by fending off various interference in 2047 B.S.
