Nepali ambassador to Brazil presents credentials

Ambassador of Nepal to the Federative Republic of Brazil, Mr Tara Prasad Pokharel, presented his Letters of Credence to Mr Michel Temer, President of Brazil, amidst a special ceremony held at the Presidential Palace in Brasilia on October 27.
On the occasion, Ambassador Pokharel conveyed the greetings and best wishes from President Bidya Devi Bhandari to her Brazilian counterpart for his personal health, happiness as well as for the continued peace, progress and prosperity of the people o Brazil.
While receiving the Letters of Credence, President Temer welcomed Mr Pokharel as the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Nepal to Brazil, the Embassy of Nepal in Brazil stated in a press release today.
At a brief courtesy meeting following the credentials presentation ceremony, President Temer recalled his recent meeting with Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal during the BRICS-BIMSTEC Outreach Summit held in Goa.
The Nepali Ambassador highlighted the significance of such event for the regional cooperative initiative in the region. While referring to the bilateral relations subsisting between the two countries, Ambassador Pokharel stated that the establishment of residential Missions in Kathmandu and Brasilia and conclusion of some important agreements have significantly broadened the prospects for cooperative relations between the two countries for mutual benefit.
The Brazilain President on the occasion said that Brazil is ready to further strengthen the bilateral relations between the two countries, and assured of full cooperation to promote partnership between the two countries.
The Minister for Foreign Affairs, Secretary General of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Chief of Special Advisory of the Presidency of the Republic of Brazil were also present at the ceremony as well as the meeting.
First Secretary and Deputy Chief of Mission Mr Rishi Raj Acharya and Attache of the Embassy Mr Chandra Kanta Parajuli also attended the ceremony. RSS
