Japan agrees to provide Rs3.2 million for reconstruction

9 Dec, Kathmandu: The Government of Japan has decided to extend financial assistance of 306,694 US Dollars, equivalent to approximately Rs 320 million to AMDA Multi-sectoral and Integrated Development Services (AMDA-MINDS) under the Grant Assistance for Japanese NGO Projects Scheme.

AMDA-MINDS, an NGO based in Japan will provide technical and financial support to partner agency, Sagun Nepal, to implement the project for supporting reconstruction of housing after the devastating earthquakes in three village development committees in Kavrepalanchowk, the Embassy of Japan said.

A grant contract relating to this project is scheduled to be signed and exchanged on Wednesday (December 9) at the Embassy of Japan here. Japan’s Ambassador to Nepal Masashi Ogawa and Ms Maiko Kobyashi, Programme Coordinator of AMDA MINDS, will be signing on the agreement.

This grant assistance will be used to implement a project at Kharpachok VDC, Sipali-Chilaune VDC and Walting VDC in Kavrepalanchowk. RSS
