India’s blockade hurt people-to-people relations: Sitaula
5 Dec, Bhaktapur:
Nepali Congress General Secretary Krishna Prasad Sitaula has said that India’s unofficial blockade on Nepal has affected the bilateral relations and hurt the people-to-people relations between the two countries.
Inaugurating the fifth central general convention of Employees Union at Council for Technical Education and Vocational Training (CTEVT) here on Friday, leader Sitaula said Madhes-centric parties causing obstructions along the border areas for getting their demands addressed is against the interests of the nation and the people.
Mainstreaming the Nepali politics was the need of the hour, he said, adding the Madhes-centric parties have once again failed in their agenda as they caused trouble to the people in the name of Madhes agitation.
The Congress leader further insisted on the effective implementation of the new constitution to pave the way for attaining the economic progress.
Congress leader and lawmaker Badri Pandey, Nepal Trade Union Congress Chair Khilanath Dahal, CTEVT Member-Secretary Ramhari Lamichhane, and NC Bhaktapur district president Ganeshman Chakradhar, among others, wished for the success of the general convention. RSS
