93 year-old gets citizenship

Sitamaya Darji of Shantipur, Ilam is now happy as she got citizenship at the age of 93.
A mobile service camp launched by the District Administration Office (DAO), Ilam proved a boon for Sityamaya who had not been able to visit the district headquarters to apply for citizenship. She was not in the position of managing travel expenses to reach the district headquarters due to her poor financial condition.
Showing her citizenship in her hand she said she would not die as a stateless as she possessed citizenship and more she was happy as she was eligible for drawing the social security allowance being provided by the government for aged citizens.
According to DAO staff Ram Prasad Upreti, 292 people got citizenship from the camp. RSS
