11th Nepal-China foreign secretary level consultation to kick off Wednesday

21 June, Kathmandu:

The 11th Nepal-China Foreign Secretary level consultative meeting is taking place in Kathmandu on Wednesday.

A six-member Chinese delegation, led by the secretary at the Chinese Foreign Ministry, is arriving here today to attend the meeting.
It is scheduled to hold discussions on all aspects of the Sino-Nepal bilateral ties and the implementation process of past bilateral agreements as well.

A high level official at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs told RSS that the meeting may hold discussions on forwarding the past bilateral agreements signed during Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli’s recent official visit to China.

The Chinese delegates are scheduled to hold separate meetings with the President, the Vice-President, the Prime Minister and the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Foreign Affairs, it is learnt. Such annual meeting was postponed last year due to the earthquake and other various reasons.

High level officials from the Ministries of Home Affairs, Defense, Law, Commerce, Education, Information and Communications, Energy among others will attend the meeting from Nepal side. RSS
