Put it down to a lover’s quarrel or her work commitments, but this diarist can tell you that Ranbir Kapoor did not spend Valentine’s Day coochie-cooing with Katrina Kaif.

And don’t go assuming he spent the night moping about lost love either. Instead, the actor partied into the wee hours with a bunch of blokes at Rishi Acharya’s mid-town nightclub, oblivious to all the camera phones that were whirring around him. Notable amongst his buddies was Aditya Roy Kapur, who also spent the evening flying solo.

But the absence of other nubile nymphets bodes well for the Kapoor boy — no girlfriend (past or present) can fairly grudge him a guys’ night out!
